Upgrade to CarbonTools PRO for .NET Now Available

The Carbon Project recently announced a new version of CarbonTools PRO for Microsoft .NET software developers.

The release includes a complete programming interface and controls for OGC Filter Encoding specification (FE) used by Web Feature Services (WFS), enhanced Web Feature Service Transaction (WFS-T) tools, Catalog Services for the Web (CS-W) support, the capability to transform features content into Geography Markup Language 3, new code samples to ‘jump start’geosocial application development and more.

“CarbonTools PRO for Microsoft .NET lets developers quickly add complex location content and services to their applications using a language that's in the 'comfort zone' of mainstream programmers rather than GIS professionals,” said Nuke Goldstein, CTO and COO of The Carbon Project. “We’re proud to release this highly anticipated build of CarbonTools PRO.”

CarbonTools PRO is already in use around the world letting Microsoft .NET developers seamlessly access, visualize and share a vast array of location content and services - including Microsoft Virtual Earth, Yahoo! Maps, Google Earth KML/KMZ, OGC GML, WMS, WFS, WCS, Filter Encoding, OSGeo, ESRI Shapefiles, MapInfo, Autodesk and more.

Release notes, code samples and sample applications are available at The Carbon Project's community portal for software developers at http://www.thecarbonportal.net/.

CarbonTools PRO is also available under a per developer license that has no limits, royalties, restrictions or fees on deploying applications - a pretty competitive licensing model compared to some of the other players in the geospatial market.
